COMMON QUESTIONS

Troubleshooting

Tap a question to expand the instructions.

My 911 Help Now device will not turn on.
  1. Confirm all 3 AAA batteries are installed according to the + and − markings.
  2. Press and hold the gray Function button for a full 3 seconds and listen for a chime.
  3. If it still does not power on, try a fresh set of AAA batteries.

If the unit remains unresponsive, contact customer support.

How do I check the battery level?
After powering on, press and hold the gray Function button for 2 seconds. The pendant announces the battery level and shows the indicator lights. Three blinking LEDs indicate a low battery.
The device is blinking. What does it mean?
If all three battery LEDs are blinking during a battery check, the guide identifies this as low battery. Replace the 3 AAA batteries and check again.
My device has poor reception or cannot connect.
911 Help Now uses compatible 4G LTE cellular service, not your home's Wi-Fi. Coverage and connection quality depend on the local network, location, and building construction. If it is safe, move to an area with better cellular reception. If you need emergency assistance and the pendant cannot connect, call 911 using another available phone immediately.
What should I do if the SOS button was pressed accidentally?
According to the quick-start guide, holding the gray Function button for 2 seconds can cancel a current call. If a 911 dispatcher answers, explain that the call was accidental and follow their instructions. Do not assume that pressing cancel stops an already connected 911 call.
Does the pendant need a smartphone, Wi-Fi, or monthly plan?
No smartphone or Wi-Fi is required for the pendant's built-in cellular calling, and there is no monthly monitoring fee. A successful connection still depends on compatible cellular service.
